A while ago I was walking down the street and I happened upon a cat. At first glance it almost looked like he had beautiful butterfly wings but when I looked again they had gone. Just some trick of the light. Nevertheless there was clearly something extraordinary about him so I decided to go over and say hello. 

 

"My name was Flynn," I said, "I am an artist who paints cats! You are a very handsome fella, would you mind if I painted you?"

 

He did a biiiiiiiig stretch as he got to his feet and then after looking me up and down, he turned and sauntered away. Fair enough I thought as he I watched him leave, I am sure a distinguished gentleman such as him has a very busy day of napping to attend to. But when he got to the end of the street he stopped, turned, and impatiently twitched his whiskers at me. Apparently he wanted me to follow!

He kept up a quick pace as he led me through the streets and just when I thought he was trying to train me for a marathon he darted off into a bush. I squatted down and peered after him and saw there was a little tunnel. I made sure my backpack with all my precious art supplies was secure and then got down and crawled in after him. It was a very long tunnel and it became dark as the leaves grew thick enough to block out the sun. On and on it went until finally I saw light ahead.

When I popped out the other side he was patiently waiting for me, and there were other kitties there with him. So many kitties and they all had magnificent fairy wings! "What is this place?" I asked them, looking around at the toadstools and ferns by my feet and the huge mossy trees towering above me.

"This is the meowgical forest where all kitties live together as fairies!" they told me. "We have brought you here so that you can share our beautiful home through art with all the humans who need a bit of fairy moewgic in their lives. Come on and follow us!" And they lead me off into the forest, all of them eager to show me their favourite spots.
